ABOUT
WHY BUCKETS EXISTS
Luke with his son on the court
"I've been coaching long enough to know that putting in work outside of practice is what actually sets kids apart."
Luke built Buckets for his own kids first — a way to make the reps nobody claps for, the ones that happen in the driveway instead of at practice, feel worth showing up for every day. It started small: a form the kids filled out after every session, tallied by hand, saved in a binder on the shelf. What started there turned into a real system, tested by his own kids and their teammates.
Every level, zone, and move in Buckets is grounded in real coaching experience — years watching what actually makes kids improve, plus what he's learned from his kids' club and league coaches along the way.
THE PATH SO FAR
Years coaching youth basketball — seeing what actually makes kids improve.
Built a simple tracking system for his own kids' home practice.
Real families — Finnley, Ben, Wes, and others — started testing and asking for more.
Buckets today — a real system, growing beyond one family.
"Tracking your progress over time — feeling yourself get better, feeling the ups and downs — is where confidence comes from."
